Monthly base fees for sewer will increase from $15.50 to $16.50 next month. Usage costs will also increase from $6.22 to $7.22 per 1,000 gallons. Troy water customers who use a monthly average of 5,000 gallons will see an overall increase of approximately $6 per month. Troy aldermen approved the sewer rate increases after reviewing reports and receiving guidance from the Missouri Rural Water Association. The association encouraged the changes to avoid a future shortfall for sewer treatment.
