Wastewater Treatment

*Due to the most recent rain event, the Troy Highway 47 Treatment Plant is experiencing higher than normal flows. These elevated flows are more than the plant can process and are being bypassed to keep the plant processing the most water possible without causing long term damage to the facility. The location of the bypass is at the corner of the storm water retention basin closest to the highway at 364 E Hwy 47 Troy, MO 63379.

The City of Troy’s wastewater system serves a population of approximately 10,500. The City currently owns and operates two treatment plants. One is an extended aeration plant and the other is a Membrane Bio-Reactor plant. This facility features extensive screening and membrane filtration to produce an effluent of exceptional quality. The Wastewater Treatment Department is a 4 member department that operates and maintains the City’s Wastewater Treatment plants and 12 City owned lift stations.
