The Troy License Bureau, a contract office of the
Missouri Department of Revenue, is managed by the
Troy Area Chamber of Commerce. Office hours are Monday
through Friday from 9 am until 5 pm and Saturday,
9 am to noon.

The Lincoln County Health Department has provided
services in Lincoln County since August of 1966. A
variety of programs and services is offered by the
agency, and it continues to assess and change as needs
for services change. Employees of the Lincoln County
Health Department provide professional leadership
and guidance to help identify and develop interventions
that will assure Lincoln County is a thriving, safe,
healthy and informed community. Services include blood
pressure screenings, communicable disease tracking
and reporting, community education, family planning
clinics, HIV/AIDS testing, immunizations, in-home
services, vital records and (WIC) women, Infants and
children.

The Troy Post Office is open Monday through Friday,
8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until
Noon. Outside collection boxes are also available
at Main & Cherry Streets, Wal-Mart Supercenter,
Kroger, curbside at Beckwith Pharmacy, Dos Primos,
Lincoln Center and outside the Post Office. Postal
officials remind patrons to notify the postal service
of any changes in address at least one week prior
to relocation.

Senior Services
Lincoln County Council on Aging 1380 Boone Street,

The Lincoln County Council on Aging is a not-for-profit
organization providing a nutritional program to citizens
of Lincoln County who are 60 years of age or older
and eligible disabled people under 60. Senior citizens
are able to go to the facility to join in checkers,
cards, lunch, quilting and other activities or they
may call for a meal to be delivered to their home.
Meals are served six days a week, Monday through Saturday.

New residents must be added to the Assessor’s
mailing list. Personal Property assessment lists are
sent out mid-December. Individuals report what they
own as of January 1 of the tax year and then they
are required to mail or bring their assessment forms
into the office of the Lincoln County Assessor by
March 1. Individuals moving to Lincoln County from
out-of-state and those who are first-time car owners
who want Missouri license plates, need to bring their
title or title application to the Assessor’s
office. After the proper records are checked, the
individual is given a waiver showing they do not owe
taxes for that year.
The Collector’s office bills
and collects personal property taxes, real estate
taxes, neighborhood improvement, county merchant licenses
and drainage/levee districts. Tax bills are mailed
around November 1 and are due by December 31. After
December 31, taxes become delinquent and a penalty
applies. Duplicate personal property receipts are
available at the cost of one dollar.
Transportation

The LINC operates Monday through Friday, 6 am until
6 pm and is available to all residents of Lincoln
County regardless of age or income. The dispatch office
is open Monday through Friday 10 am until 2 pm. Dispatch
personnel will also help you determine the best way
to get you to your destination and back home. Riders
must call 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride on
the system. The LINC will also transport Lincoln County
residents outside of the county for medical appointments.

OATS provides transportation for medical, shopping,
business and nutrition purposes. OATS also offers
a weekly express on Thursdays to St. Louis. Pickup
is at the commuter parking lot at the junction of
Hwys 47 & 61. Reservations are necessary.

Catch the Trailways Bus twice a day in Troy. The bus
stops at #1 Douglas Square on Lincoln Drive in Troy.

Water/Sewer
Service
Water and sewer services in the City of Troy are provided
by the City of Troy. Residential and business customers
may obtain service through Troy City Hall, located
at 200 Main Street or by calling 636-528-4712, ext.
1.
Trash Service

Trash service is provided through contract with the
City of Troy by Christian Disposal. Service is billed
on the monthly water and sewer statements. Trash haulers
will not pick up building materials, auto parts or
hazardous materials.
Voter Registration

- 13 townships in Lincoln County
- Any citizen of the United States who is a resident
of the State of Missouri and seventeen years and
six months of age or older shall be entitled to
register and to vote in any election which is held
on or after their eighteenth birthday.
- In order to vote, a person must be registered
no later than 5 pm, on the fourth Wednesday of prior
to the election.
- No person who is adjudged incapacitated shall
be entitled to register or vote.
- No person shall be entitled to vote while confined
under a sentence of imprisonment, while on probation
or parole after conviction of a felony until finally
discharged from such probation or parole, or after
conviction of a felony or misdemeanor connected
with the right of suffrage.
