History

Troy has a long and rich history. The town was begun in 1819 and has long been the Lincoln County seat and the center of business activity for the area. In 1994, we celebrated our Dosquicentenial (175th anniversary) with a look back through our history and the wonderful events that have happened in the past. While doing this, we began to look forward to a long and prosperous future.

As we enter the 21st century, we are ready to continue our growth and to maintain a wonderful standard of living.
